She kept her eyes on the famous investor, speaking beauty to power, which is perhaps more common than speaking truth to power, and definitely more effective.

Delano Island
Why isn't there an obsession with solar panels?
Otis Chandler and 3 other people liked Louise's review of My Own Words:
My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg
"Ok, I finished this halfway b/c I had to return it back to the library. What I read of it, I liked."
The Hydrogen Sonata by Iain M. Banks
"A somewhat predictable work. The usual strong female protagonist and a fantastic tale with ships that have “minds” and an assortment of alien species that are strange (but all carbon based as far as I can tell). Fans of the author will like this a..." Read more of this review »
No Time to Spare by Ursula K. Le Guin
"I had never experienced the feeling of missing someone I've never met prior to my reading of her works."
Otis Chandler commented on Robert’s update
" For email i'm trying Superhuman, seems powerful. "
Robert shared a note and highlight from
Getting Things Done by David Allen
On the high-tech side, potential sources of input for stuff to be assessed and processed have proliferated tremendously, with the advent of social media, multiple connected devices, and the ubiquity of e-mail. People now often have more than one e-mail account, are participating in at least one if not several social media worlds, and operate with numerous digital devices.
This is something I would love to see a solution for (not from this book): How can we consolidate our many digital inboxes; email, SMS, voicemail, various instant messengers, etc?

Personal History by Katharine Graham
" One of my favorite biographies! She was friends with my grandfather. "
Bad Blood by John Carreyrou
" Investigative journalism, yes. But it shouldn't have come to that, to me this was more a story of how venture capitalism didn't do its due diligence. "
