It’s two days before Christmas and a quiet Rhode Island town is about to be visited by a number of unexpected guests—including a pair of very different Krampuses. Review: THE NIGHT BEFORE KRAMPUS by Peter Johnson

The Night Before Krampus is a fun novella for readers who are looking for something a bit different this festive season. The story is loosely inspired by the work of Charles Dickens (particularly A Christmas Carol), focusing on two Krampus who descend on an small American town to settle a grudge. The had the feel of a folktale, introducing a number of European mythological characters and holding a deep moral message about the importance of caring for the less fortunate

While I enjoyed the premise of this book I was left wanting much more and not in a good way. A lot of plot lines were left dangling which frustrated me. What became of Stud's and Alvin in the cabin? What happened to the audience members one the Krampus's revealed their forms? I understand that this ...more

Who was cursed and who does it affect now. As you read this story, your questions may be answered. Will evil overcome good? I did not know about Krampus, but my husband did. He was raised in Germany for part of his childhood. Quiet towns are not all they seem to be, or are they. Are you friends really who they s ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book. The words he used to describe everything made it seem like I was there living the story. The description of the characters was very well thought out. Great story.
