This book talks a lot about Jessica's journey to create and grow her artisan jewelry business, Noonday. She shares her heart behind her business as well as the surprises, setbacks, missteps, and joy she has experienced.

She also encourages and empowers us who want to make an impact in our world and feel like we are part of something important and meaningful. We are prodded to consider our giftings and where our heart is pointed and look for the things we can do and opportunities that might be av

I thought this book would be all about Jessica's business journey. I am not a business owner, but I am a fan of Noonday and thought it would be fun to be on the book launch team and receive an advanced reading copy.

I was captivated by the first page, and pleasantly surprised to find that this book is about so, so, so much more than business! Jessica lets us into her inner thoughts and takes us on a journey about how to conquer those pesky committes in our brain that keep telling us how we are fa

I could not put this book down!!!! As an entrepreneur I was taking notes along side as well of things I want to remember. As a working mom I really dug into to the balancing and hard decisions.
I have heard of Noonday before but never really looked at the products or company. I have heard more and more about it lately and so glad to have the opportunity to read Jessica's amazing book! This is going on my top books to read list, especially if you are an entrepreneur!!!

Having just received my first piece of jewelry from the Noonday Collection, I was eager to read this book and learn more of the history of this company.
Maybe I'm in the minority of Christian non-fiction readers in today's world, but I prefer my Christian books to not have cussing in them. Whether it be a quote from some celebrity or a relative, I frankly do not care to read words like '*ss' and 'bullsh*t' in my books. Along with a couple mentions of other topics, I was quite disappointed in thi

Just finished reading and gaaahhh I am just so proud of WOMEN!!! I'm so proud of the imperfectly courageous women whose stories Jessica shares and I'm just so proud that I get to share in that! So much beauty in this BOOK. This will be a regular reread, and I'm going to be hounding friends to order their own copies FOR SURE.

I received an ARC from the publisher, and the opinions expressed are my own.

“Imperfect Courage” is a memoir written by Jessica Honegger, the founder of Noonday Ambassadors. The book loosely traces the story of the adoption of her son from Rwanda, and chronicles the development of her fair-trade jewelry company, which originated to address the substantial fees and expenses related to that adoption.

I was smitten when I read this epigraph:
“‘The path to success is straight, and the experience of wal

I’m so fortunate to get an advanced readers copy of this gem by Jessica Honegger. I couldn’t put it down. The message is for anyone that feels sorry, doubt or fear with stepping past their comfort zone.

All that Jessica has accomplished is truly amazing, as is her heart for the world and those in it. That being said, I think I wish the third section had been the majority of the book, it really got me excited about making a difference and “widening my circle” and I would have loved more of that. Overall, it was a really good book, I just wanted less in some sections and more in others! I would recommend it, especially for those who are interested in Noonday, its history, and it’s heart.

I wanted to really love this one, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. I do like Jessica Honegger's story of grit, influence and faith woven into her being as she fought for the things that mattered to her: her adoption dream, and the seemingly happenstance start of her Noonday company.
I have been scared multiple times as a mother, and as an author. I've jumped in anyway. I understand needing to let people into your life, and the need to stop comparing our own demons and faults against someone's p

This book is a must read for all women. Jessica Honegger is hilarious, insightful, compassionate, enthusiastic, but most of all real. She tells it like it is. She tells her personal story of creating a life filled with meaning and courage, not only for herself but for others. To fund her adoption of a son from Rwanda, she started selling paper bead jewelry made by artisans in Uganda. This personal quest led to the creation of a multi-million dollar business focused on empowering women through st ...more

Jessica Honegger truly is a remarkable woman. After reading an advanced copy of this book, I was able to hear and see her heart for her family, her business, and for women just like me. No matter your story, Jessica encourages readers to bravely embrace their story and do something about it, to get your brave pants on and go.

The book is easily laid out and has mini sections throughout each chapter, making it easy for a super busy mom like me to sneak bits of the book in small moments of quiet. D

If you've ever felt like a middle school student, tightly gripping your lunch tray as you anxiously scan the room for a place to sit, then Jessica Honegger's words will resonate with you. While reading this advance copy of the book (given by publisher), I kept finding myself whispering "me too". Jessica emphatically assures us that there is a seat at the table for us and more importantly encourages us to scoot over and make room for others, something she calls the Sisterhood Effect.

This book is basically a kick in the pants and a hug at the same time. Jessica shares wholeheartedly her passion for world-changing, one person at a time, with encouragement for your journey and vulnerability from hers. She holds in her hands the tensions between a privileged Western culture and cultures of great vulnerability and need. And she calls us to step bravely into that tension too, to see the real people in front of us, right next door and across the world. What's more, she's using fas ...more

I have followed Jessica Honneger and noonday collection for at least 5 years and was ecstatic to hear she was writing her story. I was even more excited to get an advance copy to be able to review.

I was so impressed at how Jessica told her story, including some hard parts, and peeled back the layers of her life to give is such a vulnerable look into what the life of a CEO/mom/ entrepreneur/global leader of fair trade jewelery business/ world-changer looks like. And at the end I felt like I too c

Jessica Honegger writes a wonderful book of life ups and downs in the journey to Imperfect Courage through Noonday, her fair trade business. Honegger shares the passion of adoption and how it led her to begin a business that helps others reach that same goal. Imperfect Courage is so much more than a book of business and adoption. It is a raw look at going scared in life but the key word being GOING. The honesty of looking at others as equals, believing in the gifts we have been given and steppin ...more

I read the book in one sitting and am inspired to find my way to make a difference. I have purchased many Noonday items over the years and enjoy new Jessica’s podcast, so serving on her launch team and reading an ARC seemed like a good idea. I’ll need some time to articulate all I learned from the book, but I’m so glad I read it today!

I had the great privilege to be a member of Jessica Honegger’s Book Launch Team for Imperfect Courage. As a long time fan of Noonday Collection and a self-proclaimed Ethical Fashion Ambassador, this story provided me with encouragement and reminded me that no matter what my story should sound like, the real-life one is so much better and I’m better for it.

Jessica shares with readers not only the story of how Noonday Collection began but all the moments that lead to her stepping into imperfect c

I will confess first that I have a hard time getting through a lot of non-fiction books. I was a little afraid after agreeing to read this book but Imperfect Courage had me to the very end. The end, where the last words brought hot tears of gratitude mixed with the unfinished pain the book sometimes brought up in me.

I admire Jessica and her courage and strength to push past her fears and obstacles to create and build Noonday into the amazing company it is today. But I do not relate as well to J

From the desperation that led to her first trunk show to the inventory miscalculation that almost collapsed the business, she uses her experiences to offer wisdom and encouragement to women everywhere.

I've long been a fan of Noonday Collection, so jumped at the opportunity to read and review founder Jessica Honegger's book "Imperfect Courage".

This book is for you if:
- You want to learn more about Noonday Collection and/or Honegger
- You want to learn more about others' experiences with international adoption
- You are considering (or not considering) being a Noonday ambassador
- You want or need a kick in the pants in some area of your life, to get up off your bum and get going

Imperfect Courage is a book that will speak to many different women at all levels and places they are in their lives. There were many chapters that spoke to me, one in particular was Create Compassionate Spaces. In this chapter, Jessica talks about how embracing our vulnerability leads us to a path of belonging to ourselves and our friends. I am in the military and a wife and a mom. I find it so hard to compare to all the other mom's, I commute 2 1/2 hrs and I run myself ragged to volunteer for ...more

I was excited to have the opportunity to read an advance reader copy of Jessica Honegger’s book, "Imperfect Courage".

I LOVED this book! I was introduced to Noonday Collection at an IF conference at my church. I absolutely love the jewelry, but I love the story behind the jewelry even more. When I heard that the founder of Noonday, Jessica Honegger, was writing a book about her story of starting her business, I couldn’t wait to read this book.

It’s an inspiring book about how to get out of our c

It's not often I cry when I read, but I felt like Jessica was looking me square in the eyes and telling me I can go scared, even when everything doesn't look perfect right now, we have to take the first step in moving. She shares her story, the good and the bad, but leads the reader into a place of confidence.

I've followed Jessica's Noonday journey since the very first trunk shows to bring Jack home. I have purchased jewelry, watched friends launch and grow their Noonday business, hosted trunk shows, and helped friends bring their adoptive children home while supporting artisans from around the world in their dignified jobs. I was pretty excited when Jessica decided to write a book, and even more excited to receive the advanced reader copy.

Imperfect Courage is part autobiography, part self-help book. It’s inspiring, positive and it has a really good message. The message is all told through anecdote and personal story which I didn’t think I’d like as I am not a fan of autobiographies, but in the end, I found it interesting to read and inspiring.

The book opens with Jessica’s explanation about how she started her global jewellery brand Noonday. But hidden within the anecdote is a very important message. Jessica was scared to sell the
